We had an extraordinary stay at this beautiful cottage in the heart of the Snowdonia region. Nestled right in the middle of a sheep farm, it was the perfect peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. As a family with two toddlers, we absolutely loved the unique blend of the cottage’s historic, vintage character and its modern facilities, and the dedicated kids’ room was a huge hit that kept them perfectly entertained. The host was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay, always offering fantastic suggestions for local restaurants and activities, and the check-in process was seamless. This is a truly special, family-friendly property that offers both serenity and comfort, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable getaway!
Thank you for the best family holiday we’ve ever been on. Henfaes Isaf is completely magical. Every single one of us slept like a log – the extremely comfortable beds, the fresh air, the tranquility. It was more secluded that we’d realised, to our delight, but with easy access to so much, including walks from the house. We loved the character of each room – parts of the house are many hundreds of years old – and marvelled at how spotlessly clean it all was. Host Ian was super helpful with a request I had. There was also masses of thoughtful info about the area and it really helped us to explore – we stayed for a week and barely scraped the surface of what there is to do. Shout out to Gwydyr Riding Stables for an incredible pony trek with very mixed abilities riders. Henfaes Isaf is a place to keep returning to!
